Spiritual Retreat at Tithal ( Valsad) June 1, 2004 – June 6, 2004
Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh, organized its annual Sadhana Shibir (Spiritual Retreat) from June 1, 2004 to June 6, 2004 at the seashore of Tithal near Valsad, at Shantiniketan, a hermitage of famous Jain Sadhus’ Bandhu Triputi in peaceful and blissful atmosphere. Spiritual Seekers joined from Bombay, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Baroda, Ahmedabad and Surendranagar.
During the retreat every day in the early hours (Brahma Mahurta) chanting of “Vaidik Hymns” started with the background music of roaring ocean, ringing of bells from Shirdi Saibaba’s Temple. It was a good morning in the real sense for all. After prayer and meditation Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj conducted a Yoga and Pranayama session for the Yoga students at the seashore only. Morning walkers also joined the yoga classes.
Forenoon commenced with Gita chanting, discourses by Pujya Swamiji on Chapter Ninth of Srimad Bhagavad Gita. Mid-day meditation followed by lunch. In the afternoon also sadhana continued with Gita Chanting, discourses and meditation. Evening was filled with relaxing activities and games. All the yoga camp attendees participated including Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj. During six-day retreat Gita recitation and Sri Vishnu Sahashranam chanting were amongst the regular spiritual activities.
All the spiritual seekers were blessed by the holy presence of Rev. Sri Swami Shankaranandaji Maharaj, Sri Swami Parmanandaji Maharaj and Jain Mahatmas of the Santiniketan Sri Jinchandraji and Sri Acharya Maharaj.
While Swami Adhyatmanandaji Maharaj was in Valsad, a civic reception for Him and public plantation program was organized at famous cricket bungalow. Sri Haribhai Kothari, a very learned scholar from Bombay gave a keynote address at the function. Rev. Swamiji Maharaj requested for Blood donation camp and there was a spontaneous response.
Yoga Camp 616 & Sri Bhagvat Saptah at Surendranagar ( June 7, 2004 - June 13, 2004)
Sri Gujarat Divya Jivan Sangh, Surendranagar organized Yogasan camp & Sri Bhagvat Saptah by Pujya Swami Adhyatmanandji Maharaj from June 7 to June 13 . Morning Yoga classes was attended by four hundred and forty Yoga enthusiast. Large numbers of devotees attended and actively participated in holy Bhagvat Katha during the daytime. On opening session a grand procession with devotional songs and Ras-Lila by devotees on the street of the town filled the atmosphere with divine Bhava. Discourses by Pujya Swamiji in ecstatic mood on Lord Sri Krishna Janma and Krishna - Lila elevated devotees to different realm.
Blood donation camp was also organized at local medical college. Rev. Sri Swamiji inspired many people for blood donation.
Blood Donation Drive at Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad ( June 14, 2004 )
At Sivananda Ashram, Ahmedabad a blood donation drive was organized on World Red Cross Day, June 14, 2004. One Hundred and fifty people donated blood to the Municipal Medical College, Vadilal Sarabhai Hospital and Government Kidney Hospital .
Also another blood donation drive at Ramnagar Kampa, Khedbrahma district in the afternoon was organized, where eighty two people, being inspired by Pujya Swamiji, donated blood.
Inauguration of “Swasthya”- A Diabetic Center (June 20, 2004 )
Rev. Swamiji was invited for inauguration of “Swasthya”, a Diabetic Care Center of Dr. Mayur Patel and Dr. Ina Patel. Dr. Mayur Patel is a leading diabetologist of the town and he provides wonderful services to the Diabetics, young and old afflicted with the disease. Mr. Shankarsingh Waghela, Cabinet Minister of Textile and Mr. Narhari Amin President Cricket Association, Gujarat also remained present at the opening ceremony.

· At Lord Sri Jagannath Temple, Pujya Swamiji attended worship services of Lord Sri Jagannath at early hours of dawn (4.00am) on the holy festival of “Rath Yatra” day.
· On June 19, 2004 to felicitate Rev. Sri Swami Adhyatmanandaji 60th Birthday, plantation of one hundred and sixty saplings was done at the public park near “ Indira Gadhi Bridge “ in Ahmedabad by Pujya Swamiji. It was arranged by action group of Ahmedabad.
· Leukoukoderma affected children presented a wonderful and memorable cultural show. This program was organized under the patronage of Prem Fateh Foundation, a holistic healing center, at Tagore Hall. Pujya Swamiji was invited to grace the occasion. He soothed the children with kind and loving words. He encouraged them to live normal and meaningful life with cultivating positive mental attitude.
· On June 26, 2004 Rev. Sri Swamiji Maharaj was invited to inaugurate and to grace the newly constructed extension of “Guru Kripa” at Baroda .
· Rev, Swamiji was invited to address the students of L & C Mehta Arts college, Ahmedabad at the start of the academic year. He shared inspiring thoughts on the subject of importance of education in life and how to utilize time wisely to achieve success in Life”?
· On June 27, 2004 Rev. Swamiji attended farewell function for USA trip of Sri Sahebji and welcome function of Sri Shantibhai of Anoopam Mission at auditorium of Law college, Ahmedabad.
· On June 28, Pujya Swamiji attended satsang organized at Municipal Hall, Sanand near Ahmedabad.
· On June 29, Pujya Swamiji left with five Yoga teachers for Yoga Camp for Army Personnel at Nagrota, Udhampur and Srinagar at Northern Command District.
